I’m writing this with a broken heart now.  My husband and I know this amazing lady named Chris.  She is dying from a very rare kidney disease FSGS.  My husband and I were going to give her a kidney but we were not matches.  She is terminal now and has a wonderful 11 year old daughter  named Kate  whom  my husband and I agreed to raise and adopt as our own in the event of her mom’s death  which  we are  trying to prevent.  I know I’m asking a lot here and I know a lot of people are  donors  on their  license  but I’m  begging now  for the life of my friend.  If more people out there would please consider being a kidney donor for her. Giving up a kidney is not like everyone thinks it is.  You can live with only one kidney and it has no effect on you at all.  It doesn’t take long to recoup and they can take it out through your belly button now so there is no longer a big scar.  You don’t have to be on meds or anything the rest of your life only the person receiving it does.  Living donors are the best angels in the world and so many people in this world are scared to death to help someone else in this way which I understand. 

It’s a lot to ask of someone but please search your heart and if you are willing to be tested for my friend please contact me by email ASAP.  My friend’s blood type is AB positive.  What we are looking into now and we need help please!! is paired organ donation.  I’m A+ my husband is O+.  We are willing to donate to someone in exchange for one of their friends or family members helping our dear friend Kris with a kidney.  Any help you can give us is very deeply appreciated.  Thank you    Pam Hollingshead    Email address:  BnPHollingshead@aol.com
