My name is Gary Light. I am 50 years old, and live in Tonawanda, New York. I have four wonderful, grown children. One girl, Melissa, and three boys,
Jay, Nicky and Adam and I have two beautiful grandchildren.

I spent most of my adult life working in the Towing business. For many years, my family ran a Towing company, locally - in the Buffalo area.

I was diagnosed with kidney failure approximately, two years ago. My biopsy, showed - the disease, is most probably caused by long term high blood pressure. I lost my Mother and my Aunt, to kidney disease. Also, my younger sister, Tammy, has been on dialysis now for over two years, and also, is awaiting a kidney transplant. My cousin, Diane, also has kidney disease, and approximately two months ago, she recieved her "AMAZING - GIFT
OF LIFE" - from a living donor.

I have several hobbies, but the two - I am MOST PASSIONATE about, are Racing and Fishing! Every summer, I race several types of cars at Lancaster Speedway and I Love, to work on cars. Also, I have been an avid fisherman since I was a young boy. I know the Niagara River, like the back of my hand, and have participated in several fishing competitions and have also, won several awards.

As of now, I have not had to start dialysis, But, I know I will have to start VERY SOON. I have been experiencing a lot of nausea and have also started vomiting. They tell me, that these are the signs of my kidneys getting worse. I know, without a kidney transplant, I will definitely, need to start dialysis - and I know, from the history of my family, that my life - will have to change drastically.
