Hi, I'm George. I am married to Denise, have two sons, Aaron and Adam, and a dachshund named Oscar.

I enjoy spending time with my family, camping, fishing, watching NASCAR, and playing ball with Oscar. I belong to the Vikings in Jamestown.

I did peritoneal dialysis for two years. I had a very serious case of peritonitis, which could have been fatal. I have been doing hemo-dialysis since that infection. The dialysis takes four hours, three times a week. Dialysis also makes me very tired. Because of my health I am no longer able to work.

I would like a transplant so that I can enjoy many of the things that I miss. I find it difficult to stay awake all day (for 12 hours at a time). This limits the things I can do with my family. Since I am on a fluid restricted diet, I can't enjoy the fresh fruits that are so abundant in this area in the summer. I also have to limit my coffee and hot chocolate that I enjoyed on the cold winter days.
