I am writing on behalf of my husband. He has been on dyalysis for about 4 months now.

My heart goes out to anyone who has to go through those treatments for some I read to be years. I am 28 and my husband is 32. We have 3 children 2 girls (8 and 4) and a son (2).

My hope and my dream is to be a match for him when the time is right. We need to make sure he is as healthy as can be for the transplant surgery. So now we work on his weight and keeping his blood pressure normal. They re-evulate him in 6 months and at that time I hope to get tested.

He is a A+ and I am O-. Since there is more than just blood matching when it comes to kidney transplants I just keep my fingers crossed that our compatability is strong.

If by chance I'm not a match for him I'm more than willing to go through the kidney exchange program, for all those registered at Buffalo General.

I will post with updates and when the time is right I will let all know if it's a go or we need to take other measures of finding a kidney. You all are in my prayers!!
